We met at Drama College in 1970. Helen is a
terrific mother, a great cook, an ace decorator and brick-layer! Hardly surprising for a woman whose
first career choice would have been "astronaut"! Steve does the carpentry but, more importantly,
is known (affectionately) as "the wallet".
Sarah is 27.
She graduated from Glasgow University in 2003 (MA Hons in English & Film and TV Studies).
She loves travel and has been to Eire, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Monte Carlo, Canada and
Australia. In December 2004 Sarah returned from 18 months on Rhodes, Greece - working the winter as film editor & cameraperson at a
TV Station in Rhodes Town and the summers as underwater videographer on the Dive-Med scuba boat working out of Mandraki
Harbour, Rhodes.
At 9, Sarah
started "The Animal Club" which raised over £1,500.00.
to help endangered species. Three years later she was named "Young
Animal Welfare Person of the Year" by I.F.A.W.. Her prize was a trip
to Canada to see the baby Harp seal pups. Blue Peter recorded her trip
in a short film which Sarah presented.

Sarah met Tanyo in Rhodes.
Tanyo is Bulgarian but has lived most of his life in Greece. They came home to start a new life and married on February 5th 2005.
Young Jamie Cleaves Radev arrived in September. He is a very chilled baby. An extremely balanced and happy person.
Sam is 24 and
has been writing music since he was 15. Several top UK DJs have been interested in his music and one of his tracks was signed by a record label in 2006.
Sam spent a year in University in Kansas on a tennis scholarship (at 18 he was both junior and senior County champion, playing for his local club's mens team (Stow Park),
Newport tennis centre, Gwent and South Wales). He still plays for his club's 1st team. He also spent a year at Glamorgan University studying Music Technology.
At the moment he is studying music production at Point Blank Studio in London.

Barley was our totally psychotic dog. If you put a piece of string across
a doorway he wouldn't be able to cross it! He couldn't handle stairs - I once
had to carry him down the stairs of a multi-storey car park in the Lake
District because he couldn't cope. He was greedy like all Golden Retrievers
but had many redeeming features. He was extremely gregarious and had friends
to "sleep over". We lost him on 6th January 2000. We thought the world of him:
he was loveable and washable.

This is Pippin - seven years old. He is very sweet natured and loving. He is very much an outdoor dog and capable
of finding mud holes wherever he is walked. He could probably win the Welsh Bog Snorkelling championship!
His strangest activity is sitting up at the kitchen table on a hard chair.
We often find him sitting there all on his own and perfectly happy.

Here are the cats - Mavros & Heather. Heather and her sister (Mavros's mother) were shut in a
box and left to die on the mountain. Mavros was born here but his mum died when he was only
five weeks old. Heather took over as mother and saved the kittens. They all went to good homes.
Mavros is Sarah's cat - hence the name "Mavros" (Greek for "black").
