We met at Drama College in 1970. Helen is a
terrific mother, a great cook, an ace decorator and brick-layer! Hardly surprising for a woman whose
first career choice would have been "astronaut"! Steve does the carpentry but, more importantly,
is known (affectionately) as "the wallet".
Sarah is 29.
She has an MA Hons in English & Film and TV Studies from Glasgow University.
Sarah loves travel and, in, in 2004, spent 18 months on Rhodes, Greece - working the winter as film editor & cameraperson at a
TV Station in Rhodes Town and the summers as underwater videographer on the Dive-Med scuba boat working out of Mandraki
Harbour, Rhodes. She is now working on her Dive Master qualification and a writing career. You can check out her web site at www.sarahradev.com
At 9, Sarah
started "The Animal Club" which raised over £1,500.00.
to help endangered species. Three years later she was named "Young
Animal Welfare Person of the Year" by I.F.A.W.. Her prize was a trip
to Canada to see the baby Harp seal pups. Blue Peter recorded her trip
in a short film which Sarah presented.

Sarah met Tanyo in Rhodes.
Tanyo is Bulgarian but has lived most of his life in Greece. They came home to start a new life and married on February 5th 2005.
Young Jamie Cleaves Radev arrived in September 2006. He is bright as a button and extremely entertaining.
Kaylee Radev arrived on 7th March this year.
Sam is 27 and
has been writing music since he was 15. Several top UK DJs have been interested in his music and one of his tracks was signed by a record label in 2006.
Sam spent a year in University in Kansas on a tennis scholarship (at 18 he was both junior and senior County champion, playing for his local club's mens team (Stow Park),
Newport tennis centre, Gwent and South Wales). He still plays for his club's 1st team. He completed a music production course at Point Blank Studio in London and is a qualified professional tennis coach.

Barley was our totally psychotic dog. If you put a piece of string across
a doorway he wouldn't be able to cross it! He couldn't handle stairs - I once
had to carry him down the stairs of a multi-storey car park in the Lake
District because he couldn't cope. He was greedy like all Golden Retrievers
but had many redeeming features. He was extremely gregarious and had friends
to "sleep over". We lost him on 6th January 2000. We thought the world of him:
he was loveable and washable.
This is Pippin - 10 years old - sweet natured and loving - an outdoor dog capable
of finding mud holes wherever he walks. He could probably win the Welsh Bog Snorkelling championship!
His strangest activity is sitting up at the kitchen table on a hard chair.
We often find him sitting there all on his own and perfectly happy.

This is Mavros. His mother and her sister were shut in a
box and left to die on the mountain but were rescued and we took them in. Mavros was born here but his mum died when he was only
five weeks old. Heather (the sister) took over as mother and saved the kittens. They all went to good homes.
Mavros is Sarah's cat - hence the name "Mavros" (Greek for "black"). We lost Heather in January 2007.
